Farmers Market Opened in Vavuniya Old Bus Stand by the department of Agrarian Development, Vavuniya.
Each Agrarian Services Centre in Vavuniya is coordinating with farmers and buying their Vegetables. Consumers can buy fresh vegitables from these farmers markets for low prices and there are no commissions for Vegetable sales in the centres.
District Farmers Organization Federation has two shops and agri services coordinating centre. They manage the market and provide necessary services to farmers. Also, they will link buyers directly to farmers.
Farmers also can take their vegetable and sell them directly to consumers if they wish.
